The Odessa Svyato-Preobrazhensky cathedral
After the construction was finished the Cathedral was consecrated in honor of the Savior's Transfiguration and since then it was called Svyato-Preobrazhenkiy. Count Vorontsov and his wife were buried there to remark their contribution in the city.
However the cathedral was totally destroyed in 1936 after which Odessa citizens reburied the counts remains in Slobodskoe cemetery.
Several years ago the cathedral was built again from ashes to its original condition and in autumn 2005 the remains of Count Vorontsov were solemnly reburied in it.
